We found this mom and her children sitting out front of fruit and vegetable market. She was Puerto Vallarta for two days looking for work and really didn't have a place to stay. Our team encouraged them in prayer and in God's word, that they had a Father in heaven who was watching over them. They prayed the salvation prayer with the team and we gave the mom some extra water, and toys for the children and some fruit to eat. We also gave them the information on how to find the Baptist Church so they could come for breakfast.
MISSION TRIP 2019 Preaching at the Mountains and the Recovery Center
Each trip we head up the mountain to share God's love with the families and children there. This year there were only about a third of the families there. The land they were squatting on has been sold buy the owner and the developers have bulldozed most of the houses in order to build condos. We are praying for the families who have been evicted from here and hope to seek them out for the 2020 trip to PV. We also had the honor to share John's testimony at two separate treatment centers in Puerto Vallarta. We handed out door prizes and bibles and the total of these brave men and women, who have chosen God and recovery to be the way of life today who surrendered their hearts and souls to the leadership of our Lord Jesus Christ, was 78. We continue to and ask you to join us in prayer for them to stand firm in their walk with God and allow Him to lead them into the life he has for them.
MISSION TRIP 2019 MISSION TRIP 2019 Preaching at the Free Breakfast
The breakfasts and ministering to the people at the church is one of our favorite parts of the trip. We get to work close with Pastor Jorge, Pastor Phil, and Pastor Marco and their families, along with Church family members and be true servants of Jesus. We share the living word of God, testimonies, and worship with our guests. They are treated like kings, as Pastor Jorge named this ministry "Mesa Del Rey" (Table of the King). The team serves the breakfast and the coffee and Jamaica right to the table. but one of the best parts is when the men and ladies take a shower and get dressed up in some clean clothes, donated from Canada, by some of you who are reading this right now. One fellow was sitting at the table staring at his food and crying. When Elsa asked him what was wrong, he said nothing. He then mentioned that he had grown up in an orphanage ran by Christian Canadians and that here he is today being fed and clothed by Christian Canadians and it touched his heart, knowing that it is true, God sends people to help those in need and God now lives in this man's heart.
