Annual Missions Trips

Working up to our goal of full time ministry in Puerto Vallarta Mexico in 2025, or sooner if it is God's will, we will be doing annual missions trips to Puerto Vallarta to continue to build relationships with Pastor Jorge Guzman and Pastor Phil, of the First Baptist Church, and the church family there. We will, also, most importantly, continue to build relationships with the homeless and hurting as well as the other local churches so we have a place for the new believers to go and grow in their faith. We feel that the best times to go to Puerto Vallarta are a two week period between June 15, and the end of July, as this is a hard time for many people because it is hotter and the tourist season is at it's end and the jobs are at a low.
We will walk the streets and beaches for the first five days and hand out water and prayer to those who God places in front of us. Our goal is to hand out a minimum of 200 bottles of water in those five days, and feed over 500 meals in the five days which will follow the street ministry. We invite you to join us if you would like to. You can email [email protected] and send us your information. If you cannot come in person, you may want to help out by making a tax receipted donation to help with the cost of food, water and other expenses, as well as future missions trips, you can do so by clicking on the donation link below.

Building Project and future use of the building

We know in our hearts  that the future will bring us to Puerto Vallarta full time to expand on the works God has for us to do with the homeless and hurting there. We will be looking for a building to call home for both the ministry, and for those who wish to come and join us for missions trips in the future. We will hold evening Alpha courses in the building once a week, as well as put on a Christian recovery program one evening a week, as well as continuing to work with the Baptist Church to feed the homeless five breakfasts a week, which will include testimonies and bible readings to encourage them to find the freedom found in Christ Jesus. We are also praying for this building to be a shelter at night, to give a safe place for the homeless to stay, free from the fear of being robbed of what they have or harassed by others and being physically harmed. Our goal is to also work with the youth who do not go to school and, as Elsa is a Veterinarian, and we will have help for our four legged friends who need assistance, too, so this will mean we will need a supply of meds etc. to help the pups and kittens of all ages. We also would like to eventually have Sunday services, both in Spanish and English for the street people.  Our projected date for moving to Puerto Vallarta is 2025, and we feel that with your help that this can become a reality. We will be starting up a building fund this year, this building will be designated for the sole purpose of the work of this ministry. we have one building in mind which will cost $350,000.00 American. This building is the size we need in order to minister to groups of up to 75 people and house missions teams. It is 500 square meters in size.

on behalf of Elsa and myself,(John) we welcome you to what freedom's doors is planning for the future, as we move forward in this much needed ministry with the hurting and lost, homeless, and addicted, in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.

Go for the Sights

Although Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful tourist destination, there is another side that people do not see. This would be the homeless and hurting and the addicted.

Lost in the shadows

The reason the homeless are not seen is because they are asked to leave the tourist areas during the day and early evenings. But if you move inwards from the beach, to the streets and river banks, they are there, and even though people surround them, they are left with the feeling of being alone.
