So many Special moments were recorded in our hearts as we were blessed to spend two weeks in Puerto Vallarta Mexico from June 29th to July 13th. Below are just a few of those special moments, recorded by our faithful photographer and team member, from Mexico City, Carolina. As each trip to PV brings new miracles and blessings, this trip was one of being put in awe of how God moved through us to share His love and glorify His holy name. There were 227 people whom gave their lives to Jesus to be Lord over, who now walk in freedom from the sin that once held them back from a right relationship with God. We ran into other believers on the boardwalk from other parts of the world who we prayed for and who prayed for us. God answered those prayers for us. We saw what some people deem impossible, become possible through the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through us. Our territory was expanded, as we spoke at treatment centers and in some of the local small businesses and were able to pray for so many who were once lost, but are now found. This ministry is real and so is the God that leads it. All of the works that were done were made possible by a host of donors, who gave financially and supplied clothing though their gifts of love. If you feel God tugging at your heart, after watching these videos and seeing Him at work, then please go to the contact and donate button and send in your donation of love. If God is tugging at your heart to join us on one of our trips, the next being July 4th to July 18th 2020, then please send us a message though our contact section with your information. Thank you and God Bless, John and Elsa Oakley Founders and leaders of Freedom's Doors Society
Input from Pastors in Puerto Vallarta
We were put in awe of God's glory on our 2019 missions trip to Puerto Vallarta. He did great things in and through the team we were blessed to bring along with us. As team leaders, Elsa and I feel that each person truly showed up and by using the special skills and talents that God has given them, mountains were moved, by the great faith that each member showed as they placed there trust in God. So many souls came to know a savior that they may have been on certain of. Through our street walks, even the other believers we ran into were lifted up and they also lifted us up in prayer. The main thing was, that Our Father in heaven was glorified through the two weeks that we were in Puerto Vallarta. We grew in relationship with the people of Puerto Vallarta and with the host church, and were able to have the American pastor, Phil and his wife Carol join us on a morning of street ministry. Here is a note from Pastor Phil on his views of how the works of God through the Freedom's Doors Society's team have touched those in Puerto Vallarta Mexico
"The ministry team from Vancouver has had a major impact on the homeless in Puerto Vallarta. Many of the homeless who have been contacted by the ministry team have continued to come for the breakfast at the church and several have also joined in the Bible study on a day separate from the meal. The breakfast for the homeless which is held at the Puerto Vallarta Baptist Church was initiated by the ministry team when they came to Puerto Vallarta in 2017 and has continued two days a week for over two years. Each year additional homeless join in the breakfast following contact by the team. The breakfast always begins with preaching and a testimony. Lives are being changed through this ministry. People are finding a new life in Christ and a desire to change their life-style. The Mexican Baptist Church has been instrumental in following up on those looking to change their life." In Christ Always, Pastor Phil
There is a special feeling you can only get, when you are serving God. This felling becomes even more enhanced when you see God's people come together for one purpose. That purpose is to serve others and glorify God. Between the Freedom's Doors Society team and the Baptist Church team of volunteers and pastors Jorge, Phil and Marco, God was glorified. It is much easier to minister to the addicted and homeless when you are backed by a church with loving hearts and who are eager to serve our Lord. Pastor Marco has a true heart fir the lost and upon hearing from God, that this was a ministry that He willed for him, Marco jumped in with both feet. Here is a few words from Pastor Marco on the works being done to lead the homeless to hope, the hope found in Jesus.
"Regarding the visit they make every year, for me it has been a very refreshing time, knowing that I am not the only one who is interested in people's lives, it fills me with emotion that there are other "crazy" people who also do what I I really like to do it, I really enjoy it, and they teach me what a servant is, because the fact that they agree with what we tell you speaks more about humility, something that I think we need to learn, I think that work that they do on the streets is very important and special since it is a way of knowing the aspect of the city and the conditions in which the neighborhoods live. I know that there is much to be done and that the ministry is growing more and more, but also I know that God is preparing us more and more for his Kingdom, His Glory and that we can be well-polished instruments to reach the hearts of each one of those people who are suffering. I believe in restoration, I believe in physical, heart and soul healing because God himself has healed me of all that, but I also believe that He is giving us a wonderful opportunity to work with the Freedom's Doors Society team for His Glory. May God bless you and keep You, Marco Antonio Guzmán Pérez
Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
